New AROC president, February 9, 2017

Dear Club Members,
The Holiday Party and annual business meeting was hosted at the home of Bob Cess
and Vito in Litchfield, CT. A hearty buffet was consumed, gifts were exchanged and I was
elected as the club president for 2017. Please help me to make the coming year a success
for our club.

In addition to our regularly scheduled second Sunday and fourth Saturday breakfast
meetings, we are planning a number of special events. These include Go-Karting in
March, a trip to the NY Auto Show in April, Connecticut back-road tours in the spring
and fall and a trip to the Montreal Alfa Romeo Convention in July. I would also like
you to be aware of the opportunities afforded by our neighboring Alfa Romeo Clubs.
Both AONE (Alfa Owners of New England) and NYAROC (New York Alfa Romeo Owners
Club) have touring events and parties that we are welcome to attend. Also, the Northeast
Coast Chapter of the Fiat Club America has a long list of Italian car events. Please let me
know if you have an idea for a special event for our club.

I encourage all club members to check the AROC-CT member map to make sure that you
are on it and also please take the time to forward a list of Italian cars owned to me so that
we can update the 'Members Cars' listing.

Please be safe and have a wonderful year,

Roger W. Carlson

Winter 2016-2017

Dear Club Members,

I have stepped down from the CT-AROC Board. I want to thank all of our members who have contributed to and assisted me in running the club and making the 2015 AROC National Convention a brilliant success.

Roger Carlson has step up and has taken my place as President of the club. I know he will be an excellent leader.

As of December, membership [counting active spouses have reached 93].

I will continue to assist the club as best I can,

Stay tuned from a note from Roger.

Best regards,

Frank La Sala
Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Connecticut.

Summer 2016 IS HERE!

Summer has arrived and the weather is cooperating.

The summer Jubilee at Bob Cess'  home was a great success.  Over 40 Alfisti attended the event. Old members and new members came together sharing a nice lunch and viewing a  broad representation of Alfa Romeo's parked in Bob's driveway.  Bob was a gracious host and we thank him for his hospitality.

Special thanks to Kathy and Dee for planning the event.

Peter Lombardo brought a nice 1988 Milano Verde that may possibly find a new home in my garage. Alway Looking For Another is a syndrome that I caught somewhere in the past.

August is coming up fast, please check the event calendar for up to date events.

Enjoy our cars.

Best regards,

Frank La Sala
President Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Connecticut.

Fall is upon us

The Fall driving season is upon us and we have planned a tour of Eastern Connecticu with a short excurion into south-central Massechuchetts.  So, don't change that engine oil yet.

See the current events for details

The Holiday party this year is on the 13th of December so save the date.

The National Convention the the CT and NY Clubs organized and  hosted was a great success with over 450 Alfisti attending.  Thanks to all club members who contributed their time and effort to make this a great success.

Best regards,

Frank La Sala
President Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Connecticut.

Off to Great Lakes Pre Tour and Convention

I am off via plane  to Michigan to start the Great Lakes Alfa Pre-Tour to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.

The 2014 Detroit Great Lakes ALFA will be a great event and if you have the next week free you should join us.

I hear there is still hotel space available but check with the web site Great Lakes Alfa-

Dino Pappous and I will be presenting the ALFAMIGLIA NORDEST at the banquet. Progress with convention planning and development is on time and doing quite well.

We will be sending a notice for volunteers soon, so here your chance to step up and represent the club by pitching in.  There is something in the saying, "the more the merry".

Can't wait to see who is the guest speaker. A lot of rumors.

My  164 LS s back on the road and ready to travel when I get back.

Looking forward to driving  and catching up with you in August.

Best regards,

Frank La Sala
President Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Connecticut.
